Axis Deer

The Boar is unlocked by completing the Axis Deer challenge.

The boar is a species of the pig genus Sus, part of the biological family Suidae. The species includes many subspecies. It is the wild ancestor of the domestic pig, an animal with which it freely hybridises. The body of the wild boar is compact; the head is large, the legs relatively short. The fur consists of stiff bristles and usually finer fur. The colour usually varies from dark grey to black or brown, but there are great regional differences in colour.

Life as a Boar

The Boar is the fifth size 3 grazer unlocked along the main branch of the grazer tree. The Boar is the first small grazer designed with any amount of combat in mind. While its movement speed is only a low average, it has greater base Attack and Defense than any other size 3 grazer. Its attacks are also more suited to breaking the defense of predators of at least the same size, allowing the Boar to take on small numbers of dogs. It is still a small grazer though, and can become quickly overwhelmed by multiple foes or larger predators.

Unique Challenges:

  • Claim the Goat's territory - Unlocks Goat
  • Complete all E challenges - Rewards Scarf

Boars as Prey

Boars are not an uncommon sight in many territories, especially around the Shibuya Woods, where they're often spotted in small groups. Boars are one of the few grazers likely to attack a predator of lesser or equal size on sight, but will rarely become an issue unless they have numbers on their side. They can also perform the Charge enemy skill, where they will deal heavy damage and knock down any target in their direct path. If you see a Boar ready a charge, it is best to jump quickly out of their way.
