The Cat is the second unlockable Predator in Survival Mode and is available in six different colored skins; Calico, Red Tortoiseshell, Blue, Smokey Tortoiseshell, Ginger, and White. Although there is no statistical difference between them, the final two do prove to be noticeably more expensive.

Biology[]

The domestic cat is a small feline. It is often called a housecat when kept as an indoor pet and an alley cat when kept outdoors or is feral. Cats are often valued by humans for companionship and their ability to hunt vermin and household pests. Cats have strong, flexible bodies, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. A group of cats is referred to as a clowder, or a glaring. A male cat is called a tom or tomcat (gib, if neutered), a female is called a molly (queen if she has had kittens), and juveniles are called kittens.

Life as a Cat[]

The Cat is the fastest of the Size 2 Predators, but only by a small amount. With its slightly above average Speed, it has an easier time escaping larger Predators than others in its Size category. Cats also have a friendly relationship with Fat Cats, so will be unable to consume them. Otherwise, the Cat shares the typical below average base Stats of most Size 2 predators, with less required Calories to Rank Up and larger litters of kittens from decent Mates.

Unique Challenges:[]

  • Defeat the Beagle boss - Unlocks Beagle
  • Complete all E challenges - Rewards Kitty Paws

Cats as Prey[]

In Survival Mode, Cats are a fairly common sight during the early years, especially around the Shibuya Shop District and Shibuya Suburbs. While they often appear in packs, Cats rarely prove a threat unless playing as a Predator or Grazer of Size 2 or less. They have the special enemy skill Pack Call, which will allow them to call in more Cats as reinforcements if they spot a target. It they do intend to call, it's best to take out the Cat before it can finish.
