Cranes are one of the six unplayable flying animals that appear within Tokyo Jungle.

Cranes are large, long-legged and long-necked birds in the Gruiformes group. They are opportunistic feeders that change their diet according to the season and their own nutrient requirements. They eat a wide range of food, from small rodents, fish, amphibians, and insects to grain, berries, and plants. Cranes construct platform nests in shallow water, and typically lay two eggs at a time. Both parents help to raise the young, which remain with them until the next breeding season.

Cranes as Prey

The Crane is the rarest sight of any animal in Tokyo Jungle. It can, on rare occasions, be seen on a small island in the middle of the pond found at Yoyogi Park East. The Crane is quick to take flight if it spots an approaching predator, but with only a single digit of Life can be taken down by any animal. It offers the most calories of any animal upon consumption, so should not be passed up on by any predator able to spot it.
