The Lycaon is the last proper canine playable in the game.

Biology[]

The Lycaon is also known as the African Wild Dog or Painted Wolf. Lycaons are tall, lean canines that live and hunt in large packs. Lycaons are an endangered species due to habitat loss and poaching. They can run up to 41mph and maintain that speed for up to one hour. Their natural enemies are lions and hyenas.

Life as a Lycaon[]

The Lycaon is the sixth non-DLC size 3 predator it is possible to unlock. The Lycaon has all the base stat advantages of both the Wolf and the Jackal, making it one of the strongest size 3 predators. Overall however, it can be treated in pretty much the same way as the other wild dogs.

Lycaon as Prey[]

The Lycaon is a fairly common sight around most territories, becoming more common as the years go by. In the mid to late years, the Lycaon will often be found in many of the same places you'd have found Wolves and Jackals, with much the same behaviour and pack habits, although they are slightly stronger. Lycaon have the special enemy skill Pack Call, which will allow them to call in more Lycaon as reinforcements if they spot a target. If they do intend to call, it's best to take out the Lycaon before it can finish.
