Your environment changes as time passes during play.

On a clear day, bright sunshine makes for good visibility, and many animals are active.

Your surroundings take on a tinge of sunset orange on clear evenings.

At night, the area beyond your immediate surroundings is shrouded in darkness. You can hear the breathing of sleeping animals, so keep your ears peeled for possible danger.

Note: Depending on your animal, you will be able to see better at night. Typically Grazers have bad night vision, and early Predators (excluding the Cat), such as the Beagle, have considerably worse night vision than the later ones, such as the Tiger and the dinosaurs. The robotic dog series have decent night vision.
